Our Story

Our story began over two decades ago when Derek Grether discovered his passion for carpentry. From humble beginnings as a laborer in his uncle's construction company, Derek quickly excelled in his craft, mastering the trade of rough framing, then transitioning into the art of finish carpentry and woodworking. In 2006, he founded Grether Fine Carpentry, with a vision to offer Southern Oregon clients the highest quality work and exceptional craftsmanship.
