About Derek Grether
Derek's passion for carpentry began when he was just 19 years old, working as a laborer for his uncle's construction company. He quickly fell in love with the craft and spent the next several years learning everything he could about rough framing and other aspects of home construction. After a few years, Derek decided to venture out on his own and start his own company.
When Derek isn't working onsite or in the shop, he can often be found enjoying the great outdoors of Oregon with his wife of 19 years, April, and their 13-year-old son, Brady. Most of the year Derek and April are busy traveling to cheer Brady on in basketball or baseball tournaments. In their free time, they love backpacking, fishing, skiing, golfing, and being out on the water in a boat or paddleboard. Derek's love for family, nature, and his craft is reflected in the beautiful pieces he creates.
